Radcliffe is a strong anti-drugs campaigner

Ohuruogu, 23, was banned for a year for missing the tests but returned to win 400m gold at the world championships.

She has had an Olympic ban for the offence overturned.

Radcliffe said she was surprised at the revelation: "It was a bit disappointing as I think most athletes' response would be to do as much as they could."

World marathon record holder Radcliffe voiced her support for Ohuruogu before her recent appeal hearing and says she agreed with the decision to let her run at the Olympics.

Ohuruogu said she did not try to get to the test in question because she did not think she had enough time to make it within the hour's deadline.

"That was a bit disappointing," added Radcliffe. "It was the first time I had read about it and it just surprised me a bit.

"It was a little bit disappointing but I think - I would hope - she has learned her lesson."
