World record holder Powell left his rivals trailing in Brussels |
Asafa Powell set another blistering time as he won the Brussels Golden League 100m - although he fell short of a second world record in a week. The Jamaican, who set a new world best of 9.74 seconds in Italy on Sunday, powered home in 9.84 seconds.
Norway's Jaysuma Saidy Ndure was second in 10.11 seconds with Powell's compatriot Michael Frater third.
Britain's Marlon Devonish, who false-started at the first attempt, finished fourth in 10.16 seconds.
Elsewhere, Britain's world silver medallist Nicola Sanders finished second in the 400m.
American Sanya Richards took victory in a season's best time of 49.36 seconds, to remain in contention for the Golden League jackpot.
Victory for Richards in Berlin on Sunday will see her secure at least part of the US$1m Golden League prize.
World championship gold medallist Christine Ohuruogu pulled out of the meeting because of fatigue.
