Benjamin has yet to post the World Championships qualifying time |
Cardiff 400m runner Tim Benjamin is doubtful for this weekend's AAA championships in Manchester. The 25-year-old, who parted with coach Colin Jackson last week, is struggling with the ankle injury that has kept him out for the last three weeks.
Benjamin still needs to run the qualifying time for the World Championships in Japan this August.
Meanwhile, Welsh Athletics Ltd has named Matt Newman as is new chief executive officer.

The 42-year-old from Cowbridge will start at the governing body for athletics in Wales in September, following four years as chief executive of Welsh Gymnastics Ltd.
"I'm thoroughly looking forward to the new challenge," said Newman.
"It is a superb opportunity to shape a new future for athletics in Wales, support the club and regional structures, and create an environment for talented athletes to fulfil their potential ahead of London 2012 and beyond."
