Radcliffe has not raced competitively since last October |
Paula Radcliffe is planning to make her competitive return in June after giving birth to daughter Isla in January. The marathon world record holder, 33, wants to make her comeback on the road as part of her build-up to August's World Championships in Osaka, Japan.
"If things go well, I hope to be racing again in June - and a road race would be a better way to start," Radcliffe told The Daily Telegraph.
"I will race as soon as I'm ready but I don't want to commit to anything yet."
Radcliffe has now headed to her American base in Colorado where she will step up her training.

The 33-year-old started running again less than two weeks after Isla was born and is now just two kilograms over her normal weight.
"Recent tests I had done at Loughborough University showed I was close to normal fitness," said Radcliffe.
"I felt then as if I wasn't too far away from being ready to race. I am cautious - I don't want to get two months down the road and have problems.
"I will definitely be OK for Osaka."
