Pickering has been in impressive form this season |
European junior 100m champion Craig Pickering will again face training partner and rival Jason Gardener at the Norwich Union Grand Prix in Birmingham. Pickering will compete in the 60m on 17 February as he looks to continue the good form he has shown this season.
The 20-year-old beat reigning European indoor champion Gardener last month and was third as the top European last week in a time of 6.57 seconds in Stuttgart.
The pair also race at the European trials & UK Championships this weekend.
The Sheffield event represents a chance for the pair to secure a place in the Norwich Union GB & NI team set to compete at the European Indoor Championships next month.

And, should the Bath pair qualify, the Grand Prix in Birmingham will provide the perfect chance for one of them to gain bragging rights ahead of the Indoors.
Pickering said: "The Grand Prix will be an important race for me as I hope to be returning to the NIA two weeks later for the European Indoors.
"I'm really pleased with my form at the moment and I've shown that I can run consistently well, so I hope I'll run another fast race in Birmingham."
