Pavey showed a welcome return to form in Brussels |
Jo Pavey has been added to Team Europe for the IAAF World Cup in Athens on 16-17 September. The Briton will compete in the 3,000m after running a lifetime best in the 5,000m at the Van Damme Memorial Golden League meeting in Brussels on Friday.
Pavey finished a disappointing fourth in the European Championships 5,000m in Gothenburg earlier this month.
She joins 800m runner Becky Lyne and the British men's and women's 4x100m relay sides at the event in Greece.
Swedish triple jumper Christian Olsson has been forced to pull out through injury and will be replaced by Romania's Marian Oprea, the bronze medallist in Gothenburg.
