Radcliffe is focusing on defending her European 10,000m crown |
Paula Radcliffe's European Championship hopes have been boosted by the news that she could return to track racing in just over a month. Radcliffe had an operation last month on her injured foot to remove a neuroma, or enlarged nerve.
She said: "Now that I'm running twice a day, it's fast from here.
"My next race might be in a couple of weeks but it'll probably be in five or six weeks - I'm so much happier than I was two or three weeks ago."
Radcliffe is now focusing on defending her 10,000m crown at the Europeans in Gothenburg in August.
She said: "I'm quite lucky that I'm already qualified for the Europeans so I don't have to rush."
Her injury forced her to miss last month's London Marathon.
