Russian star Yelena Soboleva smashed the women's indoor 1500 metres world indoor record in Moscow on Saturday. Soboleva finished in a time of three minutes 58.28 seconds, shaving nearly two seconds off the previous best mark.
It was the second world record in as many days at the Russian indoor championships, following Lidiya Shobukhova's 3,000m record on Friday.
The meeting will decide the Russian line-up for next month's world indoor championships, also held in Moscow.
