Gary Murray took over 20 seconds off his 5000 metres personal best
Donegal runner Gary Murray took over 20 seconds off his personal best over 5000 metres in the British Milers' Club Grand Prix in Solihull on Saturday.

The Irish cross country champion clocked 13 minutes, 44.62 seconds in finishing fourth behind Boniface Kirop from Kenya.

The run means Murray has the best 2005 times for an Irish runner at both the 5000 and 1500 metres.

Dubliner Mark Kenneally was ninth in the race with a time of 13.58.99.

Meanwhile, former British international Eddie King had a time of one minute, 51.18 seconds in the 800 metres 'C' race.

His Ballymena & Antrim clubmate Gareth Hill was sixth with a season's best 1:51.97.
