Britain's Mark Lewis-Francis returned to winning ways at the North Down Games in Northern Ireland on Friday. He defied freezing winds to come home first in the 100m in 10.21 seconds, well clear of Ukraine's Dmitro Glushenko, who clocked 10.45secs.
Lewis-Francis then completed a double by winning the 200m in 20.78secs with Glushenko second and Northern Ireland champion Paul Brizzell third.
The 22-year-old finished second in the European Cup final last weekend.
"Mark got in front and just held it," said his coach, Steve Platts, after the 100m win.
"He was very aware of the conditions - quite windy and absolutely freezing."
Lewis-Francis' next competition will be the Norwich Union World Trials and AAA Championships in Manchester on 10-11 July.
