McKee among Antrim Games entries
Paul McKee
Paul McKee recently returned to action after a year's absence
Paul McKee will have his first 400 metre outing in almost two years in Saturday's Antrim Games at the Forum.

The former world indoor bronze medallist has returned to action in recent weeks after being out for almost a year because of illness.

Race of the day could be the men's 200m where home clubman Paul Brizzel is likely to face Paul Hession.

The meeting, which starts at 1400 BST, is being held to celebrate Ballymena & Antrim's 50th anniversary.

McKee had been entered for the 200m but he told BBC Sport that he had made a late decision to run his specialist 400m.

He has been troubled by a minor knee strain since running in Dublin last weekend but the Belfastman is very keen to get another race in.

"From what I've been told, it will be a low-key enough race so I will have a crack at the 400m although I won't be expecting to post a particularly quick time," said McKee.

His main rival could be Scottish-based Liam McDiarmid.

Anna Boyle, who ran impressively during a warm-weather stint in South Africa earlier this year, will compete in both women's sprints.

Commonwealth Games hopeful Kelly Reid will be among the entries in the women's 800m.
