Alistair Cragg will lead Ireland's challenge in Saturday's Belfast International cross country event around the Stormont estate.

The 25-year-old South African-born Cragg, who is the reigning European Indoor 3000 metres champion, missed most of last season through injury.

Cragg is hoping to become the first Irish winner of the event since Dave Taylor back in 1983.

Last year's men's winner Dathan Ritztenhein will again be in the field.

Also back is third-placed Barnabai Kosgei, while Orla O'Mahony and Fionnuala Britton head the Irish contingent in the women's event.

The Stormont event is again being supported by Belfast City Council and the Sports Council for Northern Ireland.
