Holmes plans to race in Helsinki
Kelly Holmes
Double Olympic champion Dame Kelly Holmes says she intends to run at this year's World Championships in Helsinki.

"I can never say 'yes' or 'no' until I get there but it is going to be my focus," Holmes told BBC Five Live.

"It depends on how things go. I'd have to go to the World Championships with a great chance of medalling otherwise what's the point of going?"

Holmes, 35, announced last month that she definitely would not compete beyond the 2006 Commonwealth Games.

"I just want to really enjoy this year but I'll be training very hard to hold my own on the track," she added.
