World athletics chiefs (IAAF) have added the 400m and long jump events to next year's Golden League schedule, but dropped the 800m. Athletes who win their event in each of the six Golden League meetings between June and September will be eligible for a jackpot to be split among winners.
The men's events are the 100m, 400m, 1500m, long jump and javelin.
The women's Golden League events are the 100m, 400m, 3,000m or 5,000m, 100m hurdles and high jump.
In 2005, the events included the 100m, 800m, 1500m or mile, 3,000m or 5,000m, 110m hurdles, high jump and javelin for men, and the 100m, 800m, 3,000m or 5,000m, 400m hurdles and triple jump for women.
