Briton Tracey Morris has withdrawn from the Flora London Marathon. Morris, who competed at the Athens Olympics, has been told to rest her ankle after she twisted it training for the Liverpool Half-Marathon.
"It is incredibly disappointing to have to withdraw from London which is such a special race for me," said Morris.
"I have been advised to rest my ankle for a couple of weeks to allow it to heal completely. I'll be back to compete at full strength soon."
Morris shot to fame after last year's London Marathon where she was the first British woman to finish the 26.2-mile race.
Her lifetime-best performance of two hours, 33:52 minutes was good enough to earn her a place at the Olympic Games in Athens where she finished 29th.
