Paul Brizzel competed in the 200m in the Athens Olympics |
Ballymena & Antrim sprinter Paul Brizzel finished sixth in the 60 metres at Saturday's indoor international meeting in Cardiff. Brizzel, who competed in the Athens Olympics, was beaten by Irish team-mate Jer O'Donoghue who took third place.
There was a promising performance from 17-year-old Ciaran O Lionaird who won the 1500 metres in a career best time of three minutes 50.86 seconds.
However, it was a disappointing day for Olympics high jumper Adrian O'Dwyer.
He was eliminated at just 2.05 metres after needing two efforts to get over 2.00.
