Benjamin Limo claimed a shock victory in the 5,000m after a painfully slow race was reduced to a sprint finish at the World Championships in Helsinki. The Kenyan, who took silver in the 1999 championships, finished strongly to win in 13 minutes 32.55 seconds.
Ethiopia's Sileshi Sihine added a second silver to the one he won behind Kenenisa Bekele, who opted out of the 5,000m, in the 10,000m.
Australia's Craig Mottram dived for the line to claim a fantastic bronze.
Defending champion Eliud Kipchoge was edged out into fourth spot with Ali Saidi-Sief fifth.
Afterwards a delighted Limo said he now planned to name his new-born baby son Helsinki, following his success in the Finnish capital.
"My son was born on Monday, and it is obvious that I will name him Helsinki," the 30-year-old said.
Asked if he was serious, Limo replied: "Of course. Apart from the cold weather, everything has been wonderful for me here."
