Double Olympic champion Kelly Holmes has admitted she is struggling to stay motivated as the new season approaches. Holmes, who won the 800m and 1500m in Athens, has yet to commit to the world championships and other key events.
"To be honest, I will never have the same hunger again," said the 34-year-old Briton. "It's still weird after winning those Olympic golds."
She added: "I haven't thought about the season at all - about racing. I've just got my head around training."
Holmes insisted she had no plans to retire in the wake of her golden double in Athens, insisting she would like to win a world indoor title before hanging up her spikes.
But now she is clearly having second thoughts.

"I hope to take part in the indoor season, and that really will depend upon how much I train and my progression," she said.
"I think people realise that I'm happy with what I've achieved. The only pressure I put on myself is just to perform well when I go somewhere."
