Frankie Fredericks of Namibia
Frankie Fredericks has won four Olympic silver medals
Sprint star Frankie Fredericks will be the major attraction at the North Down International Games on 16 July.

The four-times Olympic silver medallist has been signed up for the meeting to be staged at Bangor's Sportsplex arena.

Fredericks has been one of the most consistent performers in championships during the past decade.

The 36-year-old's titles include world and Commonwealth champion at 200 metres and he has a best of 9.86 seconds for the 100m and 19.68 for 200m.

The Namibian was 200m outdoor world champion in Stuttgart in 1993, and indoor world champion in 1999.

After taking second place in the 100m and 200m at Barcelona, Fredericks repeated the feat in Atlanta in 1996.
