Kenyans dominate Laganside
Kenyan middle-distance star John Mutai
Former Great North Run winner John Mutai was second
Kenyan runners had their expected dominance of the Laganside 10K run in windy conditions in Belfast on Sunday.

Simon Tonui won the men's race in 30.01 which left him ahead of compatriot John Mutai (30.23) and Willowfield's Paul Rowan (30.41).

Miryam Wangari (30.07) had over two minutes to spare from local athlete Jill Shannon (36.13) in the women's race with Karen Marshall third (37.27).

Alan McCullough was fourth in the men's race while Dermot Kerr was first vet.

McCullough clocked 30.51 while Kerr's time of 33.08 left him ninth overall.

Willowfield and Lagan Valley claimed the men's and women's team honours.

Over 450 runners completed the course.
