Radcliffe will run in Japan at the end of the month |
Paula Radcliffe has less than two weeks to decide whether she will compete for Britain in the European Cross Country Championships in Edinburgh. The marathon world record-holder has hinted that she will take part but is not running in the trial race in Liverpool, which is on 22 November.
And UK Athletics endurance director Alan Storey said: "The teams will be selected immediately after the trials."
Radcliffe won the European championships on her only previous visit, back in 1998.
Her attendance at this year's event in Edinburgh would be bound to boost attendance.
In the trial race, the first three across the line automatically gain selection for the European championships, which take place on 14 December.
Radcliffe, along with other members of the Norwich Union Team GB, is missing the trial to compete in the Chiba Ekiden in Japan on 24 November.
