Radcliffe set for return
Paula Radcliffe
Radcliffe has not run competitively since April
Paula Radcliffe will make her return from injury in the Nike 10k Run in Richmond Park on 7 September.

Radcliffe's manager and husband Gary Lough confirmed that the 29-year-old will compete in the Richmond Park event which she won last year in a British record of 30 minutes 38 seconds.

It will be Radcliffe's first competitive outing since breaking the marathon world record in the London Marathon in April.

Radcliffe will also run the 5k Flora Light Women's Challenge on 14 September in Hyde Park.

She take on a strong field including former marathon world record holder Catherine Ndereba, double Olympic champion Derartu Tulu and Sonia O'Sullivan who holds the course record.

O'Sullivan set the course record of 14 minutes 56 seconds last year, shaving one second off Radcliffe's former world record.

"The Women's Challenge is no soft option and will test Paula's fitness to the full," said race director David Bedford.

Radcliffe pulled out of the 5,000m and the 10,000m at the World Championships shortly before they got underway after suffering with a leg injury and bronchitis in training.
