The 36-year-old Scot, who won the world 10,000 metres gold medal in 1991, is ready to return to the sport following the birth of her third child. McColgan, who hopes to be selected for the Commonwealth Games in Manchester next year, plans to make her return to running in the five-mile race. She said: "This is my first big race for two-and-a-half years so I'm really looking forward to it. "This is the start of my comeback.
