Star of the week
This is your chance to blow your own trumpet and tell us about all the great things you've been doing on the sports field.

Tell us what you've been doing on the sports field

It doesn't matter how old you are or what level you play at or whether it's in football, darts or pony riding.

Every week we'll report on the best ones. Just send us an email using the form on the right, and if you can send us video or pictures we'd love to see them.

And it doesn't just have to be a goal, or a personal best - we want your funny stories too.

There's a been a spicy variety of activities you've been involved with this week....

It's been a tough week to choose a winner, but all the fireworks are heading above a young golfer called Richard. He recently packed his clubs and headed for Spain for a holiday with the family.

And before he knew it, he was playing in the amateur Costa del Sol Golf tournament at Valderrama with his dad and ended up runners-up.

Richard was the youngest player to play on the day and was the only child in the competition which originally had 10,000 entrants.

A huge congratulations also goes to Olivia who plays for Man City ladies.

She scored the first goal and then to cap a fine performance popped up in the last minute to head home the winner in a 3-2 victory.

Olivia has also managed to be selected for Stockport's Centre of Excellence, so well done her.

Other superstars this week are:

Natalie from Teignmouth
"Have some of that" says Natalie

  • Natalie, aged 13 from Teignmouth in Devon, plays hockey, football and netball for her school. But it's Taekwon-do that's she making all the headlines in.

She's just qualified for Team GB after winning her sparring final, which means a trip to Australia next year for the Junior World Championships.

Natalie's been training since the age of seven and now she's got a first degree black belt and has over 30 top three finishes in local and national tournaments.

  • Chelsea has revealed a fabulous round-up of her athletics achievements.

Chelsea's told us she's been the AAAs indoor champ, come second in the English Schools multi-events, third in the English Schools 200m and is also an indoor long jump champion.

  • Pamela has dug deep into her memory vault and told us she once won a tennis tournament when she was 34!

She didn't tell us how old she is now but she's just returned to the great game after several years of not playing.

Pamela even managed to win the over-50s doubles tournament with her six-year-old son. Well done to both of you.

  • Next up is a team effort. Bring on the Storm Netball club from Cornwall.

They're a brand new club, currently sit top of the Cornwall County Division 5 and have just recorded their biggest win of the season so far, 86-13 over the Falcons.

So well done to them and a huge applause to their coach David White - the only male coach in their league.

  • Steve from Malta has certainly been busy on the fairway mixing with the stars.

He met Man Utd's Gary Neville and their youth team coach and ended up having a game of golf with them.

And it doesn't just end there. Two years later Mr Neville contacted Steve and the next round of golf involved two other players - none other than his brother Phil and a certain Mr Beckham.

Apparently David stood on the first tee with a large audience behind the fence, he took aim and an almighty swing left the ball just one foot ahead of him.

Thanks for that one Steve. Try and get some pictures next time. Swing it like Beckham eh!

  • Tom's rugby team has been unbeaten for three years. They played against Millfield last week and he sadly broke his tibia.

And just half an hour later, their team had lost. No coincidence I'm sure! Best of luck with your recovery.

  • Jack has been performing really well with his bow and arrows.

He entered an archery competition in Leicester and finished a respectable 52nd.

  • Kym has been excelling on the football pitch. He recently banged in six goals against Island Boys - despite not feeling too great.

  • Back to the golf course. Christopher from Northern Ireland has been shining on the greens.

In his winter league, Christopher and his partner have had three wins and two halves in their five matches so far.

  • While Mark has won his Society's 'Golfer of the Year' and reduced his handicap from 25.4 to 17.3 in just six months.

  • Jessie from Lancashire has done it all - scored 10 times in a football match, bagged six in netball and is the only girl to make the cricket team!

  • Meanwhile, Andrew has got a haul of nine goals in 10 games for his University team in Plymouth and his local side. He's also just graduated to be a doctor!

  • Stuart has taken charge of newly-formed MASCO United Football Club's first adult training session and the U-15s.

  • Youssef scored two goals against Girton

  • Jodie plays football for Brownhill Colts U-13s and she helped them to a 15-0 crushing of Hensford in a 7 aside match.

  • While Chloe is one of the stars of Sothampton's girls' U-12s team - they won 17-1. The week before Chloe bagged a hat-trick.

  • Mohammed has just been called up to play for Ealing District football club and also received a trophy from his old club for being star player of the season.

  • Owen is another one who's a star in many sports. He has scored 25 tries for his school rugby team - including a host of hat-tricks - plus he's training for the captain of the Wiltshire cricket team.

  • And let's finish up on the hockey pitch with Abi.

She has been chosen to play for her local ladies team in Coventry. Abi's the youngest player by 10 years but she loves it!

She's goalkeeper and helped her team to win a tournament last week. She saved 76 shots in the six games they won.

Well done to everybody and keep up the good work.
