Amen Corner Introduction Amen Corner - a notoriously difficult stretch around the 11th, 12th and 13th holes - is the real heartbeat of Augusta. Play them well, you've got a chance of breaking par. Play them badly (all too easy with the water) and you're in trouble. No-one enjoys them, particularly the short 12th across Rae's Creek where the wind swirls viciously.
