 | GO THE EXTRA MILE Sport Relief Saturday: 10 July 2004 BBC One from 1900 BST |
Are you leaping out of the starting blocks for Sport Relief 2004? Sport Relief kicks off on 10 July, when the country will be getting up to go that extra mile for charities, communities, personal goals, or just a bit of fun.
So why not film your Sport Relief event and send it in to the Community Channel?
Tell them why you are taking part, what your motivation is and how you get on.
You could have your story broadcast on the channel - which wants to capture the atmosphere of the events, whether viewers are running, partaking in a gentle stroll or in a new style of sporting fun for Sport Relief.
Olympic hurdler Colin Jackson has called for viewers to send in their films to the Community Channel - so take up the challenge, pick up your video camera, and send in the results.
The Community Channel will be putting together a 'great sporting moments' compilation from the best films, which will be shown on the hannel over the August bank holiday weekend.
For information on how to make your own Sport Relief 2004 film for the channel, visit their website at www.communitychannel.org. The site has tips on making your film, which needs only to be between two and three minutes long.
Completed films, marked Sport Relief fundraising film, should be sent to: Head of Acquisitions, The Community Channel, 3-7 Euston Centre, Regents Place, London, NW1 3JG.
