The Rugby Football Union (RFU) is hoping to resume talks with England's top clubs about releasing players in the build-up to the 2007 World Cup. On Thursday the High Court ordered the clubs to release their players for a fourth Test in November.
Martyn Thomas, chairman of the RFU's management board, said the RFU is "committed to securing a new agreement to resolve all club v country issues".
The two sides have had a long-running debate about player release.
Thursday's decision saw the court rule against Premier Rugby Limited, the clubs' umbrella organisation which was reluctant to release players for the 5 November Test against New Zealand.
Thomas added: "With this matter now settled we do wish to sit down with PRL to agree the programme of support for England's World Cup campaign and to restart negotiations on a new way forward."
