Jason White (left) is fit but Sean Lamont misses out |
Sean Lamont has failed to prove his fitness for Scotland's second Test against South Africa on Saturday. He is replaced by Simon Webster on the wing, one of six changes to the Scots' team from last weekend's defeat.
Captain Jason White is fit and takes his place in the back row. Gordon Ross replaces Dan Parks at stand-off.
Scott Lawson, Bruce Douglas, Scott Murray and Donnie Macfadyen drop out for Dougie Hall, Craig Smith, Alastair Kellock and Jon Petrie in the pack.
Scotland coach Frank Hadden said: "Our first priority is to win the Test match this weekend and there are also things we need to look at from the World Cup perspective, such as the blend of the side and what individuals can do.

"Last week's group had the opportunity to do something special. Now that chance falls to the team for this week." Webster believes Scotland can learn from the defeat in Durban when they arrive at the EPRFU Stadium in Port Elizabeth this weekend.
The Edinburgh winger scored the Scots' only try in Durban and is convinced the team can take heart from the way they refused to buckle under the pressure of the South Africans.
"It is always a good feeling to score in a Test, but the game was well over by then," he said.
"But at least we showed what can be achieved when we do the right things with the ball.
"And we are looking forward to doing more of the same in the return match on Saturday."
