Haughton gets his chance after impressing for England Sevens |
Richard Haughton and Luke Narraway have been pitched straight into the England Saxons side to play Canada. Saracens winger Haughton and Gloucester flanker Narraway arrived in Toronto on Monday after helping England Sevens finish second in the IRB Series.
They go into a Saxons side with nine changes and two positional switches from the team beaten by Scotland A.
"It's important that everybody has an opportunity on this tour," said Saxons coach Jon Callard.
Sarries centre Ben Johnston captains the side while fly-half Dave Walder plus loose forwards David Seymour and Kai Horstmann also retain their places.
Chris Bell and Delon Armitage are switched to inside centre and full-back respectively, with Haughton and Andrew Higgins to start on the wings.
Sale scrum-half Richard Wigglesworth comes in for the rested Paul Hodgson.

Up front, Callard has named a new front five - Newcastle props Micky Ward and Robbie Morris plus London Irish trio of hooker David Paice and locks Nick Kennedy and Kieron Roche.
Narraway starts on the blind-side flank alongside Seymour and Horstmann, who both impressed against Scotland.
Callard added: "This isn't just about the Saxons or the Barclays Churchill Cup.
"It's about preparing players for (England coach) Andy Robinson and the next 18 months and if there is an opportunity to unearth some gems then we should use it."
Callard has named a provisional 10-man bench which will be whittled down to seven on Thursday.
England need Canada to beat Scotland A in Ottawa on Wednesday for them to have any hope of defending the Churchill Cup.
