Corry led England last season |
Leicester captain Martin Corry has challenged his players to establish a new era of dominance now that Martin Johnson and Neil Back have retired. The Tigers have also lost head coach John Wells and Corry believes the club must forget their past successes.
"We've lost guys who are one-offs and can't look to replace them," he said.
"The danger is you keep looking over your shoulder, saying 'this isn't how they would have done it', but if you do that you stop moving forward."
Corry paid tribute to the departed stars, in particular Johnson.

"I cannot be a new Martin Johnson - he was a phenomenal leader," he said.
"All we can say is it was a privilege to play underneath him; he was a legend.
"But Johnno's gone. End of story. It's time for us to move on.
"It is a phenomenal honour to be captain of Leicester and I am thrilled by it."
Corry said the team had been stung by the lack of a trophy last term.
"We have had another team photo without a trophy in front of us and it is on trophies that we judge ourselves," he said.
"We played well for most of last season but we didn't close the deal and perhaps some of our aims were misaligned. It is time to rectify that."
