Walker made his Great Britain debut in 2004 against Australia |
Leeds back Chev Walker could be set to achieve his dream move to Australia. Melbourne Storm have said they might sign the Great Britain international if New Zealand winger Jake Webster moves to rival side the Gold Coast Titans.
"Chev Walker has come up as a player of interest to us and we know he's keen to come," Melbourne recruitment manager Peter O'Sullivan told the Australian.
"If we don't re-sign Jake Webster, he's one of the players we would look at to take his place."
Walker had been linked with a move to new National Rugby League outfit Gold Coast, but they have signed Leeds team-mate Richie Mathers.
Walker's agent David Howes has denied the player is definitely leaving Leeds and heading to Australia.
On Tuesday, the Rhinos announced Walker, 23, was "keen to pursue an opportunity Down Under".
But Howes told the Guardian: "The club are correct to state Chev has turned down an offer, but totally out of order to forecast his future."
Howes said they had not yet made a final decision about where Walker's future lies.
