Boxing Day's racing bulletin
Racing
Today's Five Live selection is Mister Right in the 1335 at Wincanton (all times GMT).

Racing today comes from Kempton Park, Wetherby, Wincanton, Huntingdon, Market Rasen, Towcester, Sedgefield and Wolverhampton.

It's Kempton's biggest day of the year when they play host to the Stan James King George VI chase. Brian Clifford reports the ground good to soft with good places and perfect for National Hunt racing.

Kauto Star will be the odds-on favourite for the King George at 1420 and is impossible to oppose. He jumps well, has a high cruising speed and is versatile tactically. His main danger comes from the improving Racing Demon and the dashing grey Monet's Garden.

The Christmas hurdle at 1345 also looks one for favourite backers with Tony McCoy's mount Straw Bear looking difficult to beat.

Although an inspection was planned at Sedgefield temperatures did not fall as low as forecast and racing definitely goes ahead starting at 1230. The ground is soft and the horse to keep an eye on is Echo Point in the 1335.

Wetherby's card starts at 1250 and the ground is soft with heavy places. It's going to be a busy day for champion trainer Paul Nicholls and he has a fascinating runner in the featured Rowland Meyrick chase at 1325.

Sleeping Night has not run for 627 days but is unlikely to need the run. He has obviously not been easy to train but given an injury-free round is the horse to beat.

Wincanton's popular Boxing Day fixture begins at 1220 and the ground is good to soft. Best bet of the day is Mister Right in the 1335.

Sam Thomas' mount has only had three starts over hurdles but looks very well handicapped compared with his flat race rating. He runs well fresh and the track should suit his style of running.

Huntingdon's card starts at 1215 and the ground is good with good to soft places. Henrietta Knight's horses have a good record at the track and she can have further success with Ma Furie in the 1350.

Market Rasen have a 1200 start and the latest news from the course is the ground is soft with heavy places on the chase course while soft with good to soft places on the hurdles.

The Lincolnshire National at 1340 looks tailor made for the veteran Fullards who uncharacteristcally unseated his jockey last time out.

A huge crowd is expected for Towcester's card starting at 1240. Conditions are testing with clerk of the course Robert Bellamy describing the going as soft with heavy places. Onyourheadbeit will take all the beating in the 1350.

And finally at Wolverhampton on the all-weather the polytrack is standard with racing starting at 1340. Former decent hurdler Flame Creek is enjoying himself on the flat and should make it three on the bounce with victory in the 1550.
