Antrim's Tony Scullion and Stephen O'Neill battle for possession in the final |
Antrim boss Liam Bradley praised his team after losing 1-18 to 0-15 to Tyrone in the Ulster SFC final. "Tyrone were the better team and deserved their victory," he said. "But there are plenty of positives for us - the lads fought hard and we intend to win our qualifier and make the All-Ireland quarter-finals at Croke Park." "We started well but when Tyrone got up and running they bullied us out of the game and playing catch-up against them is a waste of time." He added: "We wanted a good start to the second half but didn't get it and they tagged on a couple of points. "We got on top for a while and got a good goal chance but Paddy Cunningham put it over the bar and you have to take those chances. "Two crucial decisions went against us in midfield and Tyrone scored from the resulting frees to go further ahead. "This is a new Antrim team and we have installed in the players to never give up and the experience will do them good. "It's only a matter of time until we pick up silverware at Clones."
