Oliver Neuville nets Germany's late winner past Poland goalkeeper Artur Boruc |
Poland coach Pawel Janas admits Oliver Neuville's late winner for Germany has all but sentenced his side to another early World Cup departure. The 1-0 loss to the hosts means the Poles are pointless after two games.
And Janas, whose side also made a group stage exit in 2002 said: "The goal right at the very end has ruined our chances and I feel awful.
"In the final minute we made mistakes by leaving the midfield empty and our defence had no chance."
Janas added: "Unfortunately, we still can't score goals.
"We didn't manage to see it through to the end. Basically this match most probably ends our World Cup adventure."
