Watford striker Nathan Ellington has agreed a one-year loan deal with Greek club Skoda Xanthi.
Ellington, 29, moved to Vicarage Road in 2007 for £3.25m but has failed to make an impact, scoring just five goals in 23 starts for the club.
The former Wigan player, who spent last season on loan at Derby County, will move to the Greek Super League side in the new year.
Xanthi will then have the option to make the move permanent.
Ellington spent a trial spell at Ewood Park during the summer but a potential move to Blackburn failed to materialise.
