Southampton manager George Burley could give 16-year-old left-back Gareth Bale his debut over the Easter weekend. If Bale plays against either Stoke on Saturday or Millwall on Monday, the Welshman become the second youngest Saints debutant after Theo Walcott.
Striker David McGoldrick, 18, who has scored 39 goals for the youth team and the reserves, could also feature.
"Both will probably get a run out. The Millwall home game may be better though," Burley told the club website.
Defender Bale, who will be aged 16 years and 273 days on Saturday, saw his chances of playing boosted when Danny Higginbotham damaged medial ligaments in training.
