Shrewsbury Town's under-18s could not continue their giant-killing run - bowing out of the FA Youth Cup 4-0 against Chelsea at Griffin Park. But they did so with their heads held high, according to the watching first-team manager Gary Peters.
"There was a gulf in class, but two goals in the last few minutes made it look worse than it was," Peters told BBC Radio Shropshire.
"The difference was that Chelsea fielded a side of internationals."
Shrewsbury's youth academy director Nigel Vaughan was also proud of his players.
"They were up against it, but they never gave up, and didn't let the name of Shrewsbury Town down," he said.
