The sale of Shorey and Lita could bring Reading in excess of 10m |
Reading boss Steve Coppell has told England full-back Nicky Shorey and England Under-21 striker Leroy Lita they can leave if they are not happy. Shorey, 26, and Lita, 22, have not signed new contracts.
Coppell told the Reading Chronicle: "I only want players who want to play for the club. If they don't, it's best for all concerned if they move on.
"That rule undoubtedly applies to the whole squad including Leroy and Nicky. It doesn't change for individuals."

The sale of Shorey and Lita could bring Reading in excess of 10m.
"In my opinion, that has always been the best way of doing things," added Coppell.
"If someone doesn't want to be here and they're not happy with the way things are going then it's in their best interests, and ours, that they move somewhere else."
Shorey has been linked with West Ham and Newcastle, while Lita has reportedly interested Sunderland and Portsmouth.
Meanwhile, Reading chairman John Madejski is ready to provide funds for Coppell in the new year.

"We're prepared to strengthen the squad in January," he said.
"Of course it depends whether the right players are available at the right prices and that decision will rest with the manager, but the financial backing will be there."
