Reading are close to clinching a deal for Nantes midfielder Emerse Fae, according to the French Ligue 2 side. Sporting director Xavier Gravelaine told the Sunday Mirror: "It should be finalised soon. The fact that he has been injured has slowed down his exit."
Fae, 23, is a product of the Nantes youth academy and opted to play for Ivory Coast at international level rather than his native France.
Nantes were relegated to the second division last season.
