Oxford United skipper Phil Gilchrist expects to be fit to start pre-season training after a knee operation. The central defender delayed treatment until after the play-offs but has now started his rehabilitation following surgery to repair cartilage damage.
"The operation was successful and I've been working hard to get ready again," Gilchrist, 33, told his club's website.
"It's looking promising and I'll be ready and as keen as ever when pre-season comes around."
