Marney's loan for Norwich is for a year |
Dean Marney, who has joined Norwich on loan, has admitted he opted to sign for the Canaries because competition for places at Spurs was so difficult. Marney, 21, told the Norwich website: "Spurs have probably got far too many players there at the moment.
"I've come to Norwich to play some competitive games. They've got the ambition to get straight back up and hopefully I can be part of that."
"Hopefully I'll get some goals and get as many crosses in for Dean Ashton."
Marney has struggled to hold a regular first-team place at Spurs and only started eight Premiership games last season for the club.
Capped by England at Under-21 level, Marney has previously had loan spells at Swindon, QPR and Gillingham.
