Solskjaer has a history of injury troubles in recent years |
Manchester United striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has undergone knee surgery. The 34-year-old Norwegian underwent a minor procedure after reporting discomfort in his knee while on international duty.
He is expected to be able to train fully in a few weeks and is expected to be fit for the start of the new season.
Norway team doctor Thor Einar Anderson said: "We found what we expected. The knee was a bit swollen and the joint irritated, but we treated it."
He added: "Hopefully his knee will be better when he resumes his training.
"We hope that this is not something that will return again and again, but it's too soon to say."
