Lincoln City manager Peter Jackson says he hopes to sign a new deal to stay at Sincil Bank soon.
Earlier this season, the Imps boss, who overcame cancer this summer, postponed putting pen-to-paper on a new deal until his team's form improved.
In October Lincoln won five and drew the other one of their of their six matches in League Two.
"Hopefully I will sign it by Saturday or definitely sometime next week," Jackson told BBC Radio Lincolnshire.
"The main reason why I am committing myself is the support of the fans the chairman and the club's board," he added.
