Dickov scored six goals in just seven games for Blackpool
Leicester City have beaten off overseas competition to secure the signing of former striker Paul Dickov.
The Scot, 35, seemed to have rejected a move back to the Foxes, when he went to talk to Canadian side Toronto FC, but he has now signed a two-year contract.
Manager Nigel Pearson told the club website: "Paul has tremendous spirit and I'm delighted to bring him here.
"He will give us everything and I'm sure he will be a favourite with the fans here once again."
Dickov was released by Manchester City this summer and was also a target of Championship side Blackpool, where he had a spell on loan last season.
The former Scotland international previously played for Leicester between 2002 and 2004, scoring 37 goals in 89 games.
