Terriers make double swoop
Junior Mendes
Mendes was impressed by the facilities at Huddersfield
Huddersfield Town have signed former Mansfield striker Junior Mendes and Chesterfield midfielder Chris Brandon.

Both players passed medicals on Monday and will join their team-mates for pre-season training immediately.

Mendes told BBC Radio Leeds: "I was impressed with the facilities and the support but when I spoke with Peter Jackson that made my mind up.

"When I was playing here with Mansfield I saw how Peter was with his players and I liked that."

Brandon, who also played at Torquay, is delighted to be at the McAlpine Stadium where he will face both of his former clubs in League One next season.

He said: "I've been at two other clubs but no disrespect they are not like Huddersfield which is a massive club.

"You can tell that there is a great rapport between the players and I just want to be a part of it."
