Chester boss Jim Harvey delighted with City youngsters
Harvey gave starts to three teenagers against Luton
Chester manager Jim Harvey believes the club's youngsters will benefit from a run in the first team following the 0-0 draw with Luton Town on Saturday.
Lloyd Ellams, 18, James Owen, 18, and Joe Freeman, 17, were all given starts at the Deva Stadium.
"These boys are going to get an opportunity now that they wouldn't have got in the past," Harvey told BBC Radio Merseyside.
"So they're going to benefit from that and they have come out with credit."
Harvey continued: "Luton are probably one of the strongest clubs in our league and I don't think they created one chance.
"They had a free header late on in the second half and I think that was about the only opportunity they created. All the young boys here must come out with credit.
"I was frightened to death as there was the potential to get beaten by three or four goals given the size and quality of Luton's squad.
"But the young lads went out there, played to instruction, and I was absolutely delighted that they got the result they deserved."
