Chris Morgan scored a hat-trick as Newry beat struggling Dungannon Swifts 3-2 at the Showgrounds on Friday night.
Morgan netted his first from a tight angle in the 40th minute and blasted in his second from 12 yards on 50 minutes.
Mark McAllister set up Timmy Adamson to score after 70 and then Stephen Garrett squared the ball for Morgan to sidefoot past Dwayne Nelson after 79 minutes.
The Swifts pulled one back when Adam McMinn rose unchallenged at the back post to head home in the 88th minute.
Kevin Keegan supplied the cross for Morgan to strike from five yards and make it 1-0.
The former Linfield and Glentoran frontman was then on hand to score after Nelson hesitated following a backpass, Garrett dispossessed the goalkeeper and Morgan supplied the finish.
Stephen Ferguson squandered a good chance to extend the lead before McAllister centred for Adamson to score with a first-time shot from six yards.
Garrett turned inside McMinn before setting up Morgan for his hat-trick goal and then McMinn got on the end of a free-kick late on.
