An unstoppable 50th minute shot into the bottom corner from Davy Patton earned Limavady a point. Timmy Adamson gave Dungannon the lead when he found himself unmarked at the back post to head in David Scullion's left-wing cross after 11 minutes.
Patton had an effort tipped over by Gavin Cushley, who also blocked Lee Patrick's shot.
Mark McGinnis twice went close, once in the first half and then with a long range shot after the break.
