Beckham created England's second goal |
David Beckham says he has no plans to retire from international football despite England's failure to reach Euro 2008 after losing to Croatia. Beckham came on as a second-half substitute in the 3-2 home defeat by Croatia to win his 99th cap.
"Without a doubt. I'm not retiring," said former England captain Beckham.
"I said that the moment I was taken out of the team and the moment I came back into the team and I'm not stepping down," said the 32-year-old.

Scott Carson's awful attempt to stop Niko Kranjcar's shot gifted Croatia an early lead and Slaven Bilic's side went in at the break 2-0 up after Ivica Olic capitalised on some ponderous defending.
Frank Lampard's penalty and Peter Crouch's superb volley hauled England level, but Mladen Petric's shot gave Croatia a memorable win.

"We're disappointed as a team and obviously the nation will be disappointed about not qualifying," said Beckham. "If you don't win games you don't qualify. We just didn't perform and that's the end of it."
England captain Steve Gerrard pinpointed Croatia's two early first-half goals as key to their inability to secure the necessary point against Croatia.
"The first 15 minutes killed us - we wanted to start quickly but we find ourselves with a mountain to climb," said the Liverpool midfielder.
"There was a big improvement in the second half and we should've shut up shop but we've let it slip."
Goalscorer Crouch insisted Carson would recover following his embarrassing error.
"Scott's a fantastic young keeper," said Crouch. "He'll be disappointed but he's still a fantastic prospect.
