Champions League winners Porto have turned down an offer, believed to be in the region of 13m, from Bayern Munich for midfielder Deco Souza. "We have only received an offer from Bayern which we have turned down," said Porto president Jorge Pinto da Costa.
Deco is keen to leave Porto and has been linked with Chelsea following Jose Mourinho's appointment as coach there.
Chelsea have yet to make a bid, but Pinto da Costa added: "You can never say that negotiations are closed."
Mourinho, who handed Deco the playmaker's role at Porto, is keen to mould his own Chelsea team and will want to draft in players of his own choosing.
He has already set about raiding Porto's dressing room with Paulo Ferreira poised to move to Stamford Bridge while Ricardo Carvalho and Costinha could follow.
Brazilian-born midfielder Deco, 26, will get another chance to impress potential suitors at Euro 2004 where he will play for Portugal after acquiring citzenship last year.
